2025 Toyota Corolla Cross Review: Pricing, Specs, and More

2025 Toyota Corolla Cross Review: Pricing, Specs, and More

The Corolla is one of Toyota’s most well-known and best-selling cars. The nameplate has been around since the late ‘60s, and it’s consistently embodied the economy, reliability, and safety that the brand has put forward for decades.

So, how do you improve on such a solid track record? Well, one way is to give shoppers more space by upgrading to an SUV body style, which is exactly what the Corolla Cross does. Read on to check out all the exciting things this Toyota crossover has to offer for shoppers near Ventura, CA.

Corolla Cross vs. Corolla Cross Hybrid

The Corolla Cross is available in two flavors of powertrain, gas and hybrid. Both can be optioned with either front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

The gas-powered version has a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that puts out 169 horsepower and gets a respectable 31 MPG in the city and 33 on the highway. However, the hybrid Corolla Cross is both quicker and more efficient. Its engine cranks out 196 horsepower and is capable of 45 MPG in the city and 38 on the highway, giving it a combined 42 MPG total, which is 10 more than the standard Corolla Cross.

However, shoppers looking for a bargain may still want to consider the gas-powered 2025 Corolla Cross, which starts out at just $24,035, while the 2025 Corolla Cross Hybrid starts at $28,395.

Corolla Cross Dimensions

Compared to the good old Corolla sedan, the Corolla Cross is significantly larger—in terms of size, it sits between the smaller Venza and larger RAV4.

Additionally, for those looking for something in between, the 2025 Corolla Hatchback provides additional storage with the fun-to-drive road manner of the standard Corolla.

For 2025, the Corolla Cross gets an exclusive new available paint color, Soul Red Crystal.
