Down Syndrome Association of Santa Barbara County’s 14th Annual Hoe Down Benefiting and Enhancing the Lives of Individuals with Down Syndrome

We are proud to support the Down Syndrome Association of Santa Barbara County. The DSASBC helps enhance the lives of individuals with Down syndrome and their families in our community by promoting acceptance and inclusion. Through the development of programs and events, they connect and support families to help improve and change lives.

In partnership with Kids In Need Foundation and their Toyota’s Big Summer Giveback, we’re proud to support 200 students at Franklin Elementary with backpacks full of essential school supplies. Thanks to a matching gift from Toyota, we were able to help students in our local community receive the tools they need to thrive. Together, we’re helping create equitable learning environments and brighter futures for every child.

This past weekend, our General Manager had the pleasure of working with a member of the Santa Barbara Police Activities League (PAL) in providing them with a vehicle. PAL plays a vital role in our community, creating opportunities for local youth through mentorship, leadership development, and academic enrichment.

We’re honored they chose Toyota of Santa Barbara for their vehicle needs and proud to support an organization so dedicated to building strong connections between law enforcement, young people, and the broader community. Community involvement is at the heart of everything we do, and partnerships like this inspire us to continue giving back.

Law Enforcement Torch Run

At Toyota Santa Barbara, we’re proud to support our community! Our General Manager, Jim, joined the Law Enforcement Torch Run, helping carry the Flame of Hope through Santa Barbara to support the 2025 Special Olympics Southern California Summer Games.

More than 300 law enforcement agencies and Special Olympics athletes will carry the Flame of Hope across seven Southern California counties, culminating June 6 in Long Beach to launch the 2025 Special Olympics Southern California Summer Games. Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) is the largest public awareness vehicle and grassroots fundraiser for Special Olympics Southern California (SOSC). The Law Enforcement Torch Run is represented in all 50 U.S. states, Canadian provinces, and 46 nations with 97,000 officers around the world. Special Olympics Southern California enriches the lives of athletes and their communities through sports, leadership programs and athlete health. Their free, year-round programs lead to improved health, self-confidence, and independence among athletes with intellectual disabilities and acceptance and inclusion in the community. It was an incredible day at the UCSB Thunderdome as we were the venue sponsor for the Special Olympics Southern California Basketball Competition. it was a joy to witness the dedication, spirit, and sportsmanship of every team! We're incredibly thankful to have played a part in such a meaningful day. Through the power of sports, people with intellectual disabilities discover new strengths and abilities, skills, and success. The athletes find joy, confidence and fulfillment — on the playing field and in life. They also inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential.
